About the Role

Berghof Membranes, a leading manufacturer of membrane products and part of the Berghof Group, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Applications Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for piloting new applications and assisting with startups of new filtration systems in international projects. You will lead pilot tests, gather essential data for full-scale project design, and collaborate with specialists in the Netherlands and Spain to support the Sales Engineering team in preparing detailed technical and commercial quotations for our international customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define the goals and steps of pilot tests in detail with our customers to achieve the desired targets
  • Assist our customers with the startup and commissioning of ultrafiltration plants
  • Guide our customers through the entire process and ensure all relevant data is acquired
  • Analyze the results of pilot tests and convert the data into relevant information for the design of full-scale projects
  • Assist our sales engineering team in defining quotations and discussing process-related documentation during the quotation phase, such as P&IDs and PFDs
  • Act as a liaison between international Sales Managers and the Technology department
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Water Technology, or a similar field
  • Five years of experience in similar functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch and German are a plus)
  • Proactive team player comfortable balancing commercial and technological arguments
  • Problem-solving attitude to overcome challenges on the fly
