Senior Research Engineer in Battery Cell Development

Job Summary:

CIC energiGUNE is seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Engineer to join our Cell Prototyping group. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation battery cells by integrating advanced materials and manufacturing processes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and adapt manufacturing parameters to integrate advanced materials into battery cell designs.
  • Work on materials processing and scale-up for cell components.
  • Engineer and formulate electrodes.
  • Conduct compatibility studies for cell components.
  • Coordinate team projects related to laboratory cell assembly and characterization.
  • Assemble and electrochemically characterize cell prototypes for technology validation.
  • Ensure project targets, timelines, objectives, milestones, and deliverables are met.
  • Contribute to the development of intellectual property for industrialization.

Requirements:

  • PhD or D.Eng in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • At least 5 years of experience in RD environments, with a focus on battery technologies.
  • Experience in materials processing and scaling up for different applications.
  • Electrochemistry knowledge and a team player mindset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • High level of English proficiency.
