Process Engineer for Battery Cell Assembly

About the Role

CIDETEC Energy Storage is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our Energy Materials Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for optimizing the cell assembly process and developing in-depth knowledge of the main parameters affecting cell assembly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze the assembly process and identify critical parameters to optimize the process.
  • Determine failure modes of the assembled cells, relate them to the corresponding assembling step, and define corrective actions to mitigate failures.
  • Closely communicate with machine suppliers during new equipment search and fine-tuning at facilities.
  • Elaborate process documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Plan technical tasks.
  • Participate in projects focused on cell assembly tasks.
  • Manage projects documentation, including writing project reports.
Requirements
  • Process engineer, mechanical engineer, mechatronic, or battery engineer degree.
  • High level of written and spoken English.
  • Sound knowledge in manufacturing processes, mechanical setup development, and CAD programming (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Technical knowledge on batteries is a plus.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Capacity to carry out multiple lines of work simultaneously, optimizing resources and maximizing results.
