About the Role

We are seeking an Underwriting Assistant Financial Lines Specialist to join our team at Sin nombre. As an Underwriting Assistant Financial Lines Specialist, you will provide support to our Underwriting team and ensure that administrative processes for the end-to-end policy lifecycle are run efficiently and at a high quality to serve internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contract Handling: Handle contracts, including master policies, international programs, and other contractual documents, in an efficient and correct manner for new and established businesses.
  2. Customer Interaction: Check the conditions of acceptance of customer requests, interact with customers as needed, and use various data sources to make informed decisions and provide advice to brokers and clients.
  3. Contract Follow-up: Follow up on contract signing or refusal, ensuring timely and accurate communication with stakeholders.
  4. Contract Development: Develop draft contracts and amendments that meet customer needs, modifying coverage concepts as desired by clients or brokers.
  5. Contract Preparation: Prepare contracts beyond your authority and discuss them with your team leader.
  6. Contract Monitoring: Monitor, plan, and issue contractual documents, including policies, endorsements, and certificates.
  7. Support to Credit Control: Support the Credit Control team in cash allocation for accounts and monitoring of outstanding unpaid premiums.
  8. Data Management: Prepare and send weekly reports, prepare premium flows, prepare and send local policies instructions, control Gross and Net portfolio, and control data quality.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree desirable.
  2. Language Skills: Fluent English Skills: minimum C1 level CEFR.
  3. Experience: Experience of 3-5 years in similar functions and responsibilities.
  4. Technical Skills: Demonstrated experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  5. Soft Skills: Live and feel Customer focus, courageous and integrity in the way of doing business and working with all colleagues/stakeholders.
  6. Communication Skills: Strong internal relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  7. Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills combined with a strong work ethic.
