Job Summary

We are seeking an Underwriting Assistant to join our Operations team in Madrid. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will support the Underwriting department and work closely with the Underwriting teams to deliver accurate risk, record keeping, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Summarize slip terms and conditions, calculate premiums and exposures, and ensure accurate entry of submissions, quotes, risks, endorsements, and transactions to the Everest Underwriting System.
  • Perform data checks to ensure accuracy of underwriting data and enter it into our systems.
  • Produce Wordings and Endorsements within the 5-day SLA using relevant templates, and send policy documents to the Broker and handle any queries.
  • Store risk information and correspondence onto the document repository to ensure a complete and accurate audit trail.
  • Ensure relevant underwriting information is included for the peer review, risk entry, and data checking review process within the designated timeframe.
  • Index and update underwriting information submitted electronically within specified timeframes.
  • Maintain tools containing key underwriting information to facilitate compliance sanctions, fraud, and financial crime checks pre-bind and monitoring post-bind.
  • Assist underwriters during the underwriting process, production of management information, business development, and marketing.
  • Provide administrative support to underwriters and the Operations team in areas including credit control, data quality, and training.
  • Support Underwriting teams within other classes of business as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of Insurance experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Fluent in German is preferred.
