Job Title: Procurement Category ManagerIn this role, you will coordinate with Product Development and conduct Sourcing and Procurement for all assigned product categories, creating local/global strategy and mitigating Supply Chain risks while ensuring QCDDM standards are defined and followed.
Key Responsibilities:- Category Management: Develop and implement category strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Procurement Process Management: Ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory requirements, developing KPIs to measure effectiveness of category strategy and activities.
- Market Analysis and Benchmarking: Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify industry trends, potential suppliers, and competitive pricing, providing insights and recommendations.
- Procurement Operations: Establish and manage a network of reliable suppliers, overseeing the onboarding process, including supplier visits, contract negotiations, compliance checks, and performance evaluations.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and category management, preferably in a technology startup or fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of setting up and managing suppliers and categories from scratch.
- International experience, with proven track record of setting up different regions.
