Project Management and Operations Improvement Intern

We are seeking a motivated Project Management Intern to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a Project Management Intern, you will assist Project Managers in tracking open actions, conducting deep dives to provide data insights, and analyzing processes to identify improvement opportunities.

The internship will provide you with a dynamic and international environment, where you will work on improvement and innovation projects to support the growth of our European network. You will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, drive operational efficiency with strong analytics, and have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting Project Managers in tracking open actions and conducting deep dives to provide data insights
  • Analyzing processes to identify critical points and improvement opportunities
  • Anticipating and mitigating risks
  • Working with the team to identify process improvement or standardization opportunities for the European network

Key learning objectives will include:

  • Learnt key success factors to project implementation and stakeholder management in a complex and international environment
  • Used advanced project management tools and successfully provided project members with support
  • Learnt to anticipate for and mitigate risks
  • Developed skills to extract and manipulate large and complex datasets, and used analytics for driving business decisions and change

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently in your penultimate or final year and working towards a university degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or similar discipline
  • Eligible to complete a full-time internship of 3-6 months
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English (Common European Framework of Reference C1)
  • Excellent analytical skills, preferably with advanced level in Microsoft Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, macros)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify process improvements and innovative solutions
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively with others
  • Demonstrated curiosity, proactivity, and willingness to take on challenges in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
