ENGIE Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) is a leading energy supply solutions provider, offering risk management services to support clients in their decarbonization journey. Our team of experts provides tailor-made solutions in energy management, focusing on decarbonation and decentralization.
ContextThe power sector is undergoing significant change. GEMS Iberia has created a new team, RES Operations (RES OPS), focused on renewable energy to support growing activity. The RES OPS team is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, providing relevant tools for portfolio contract management, and maintaining high-quality data for renewable assets management.
RoleIn this context, you will play a key role as a renewable portfolio data analyst, developing new systems and fulfilling the following missions:
- Develop a deep understanding of the business and processes to propose the best solution for new business challenges.
- Build new data flows required for the business.
- Improve existing processes to ensure scalability.
- Interact with service providers to maintain existing data flows.
- Apply data management best practices to ensure data quality and script data quality tools.
- Work closely with the IT team to improve the current system used by GEMS Iberia for data management.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Familiarity with finance and/or energy fields.
- Experience in coding and scripting with Python.
- Data management skills.
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication, and reaching across functional borders.
- Experience with Dataiku or AWS is a plus.
A strong focus on business outcomes, experienced in working closely with IT, and driven by excellence are essential for this role.
Education and Professional BackgroundThe ideal candidate has a master's degree in engineering, business engineering, mathematics, or physics.
LanguagesFluent English is required; Spanish is a plus.
