Context:

The energy sector is experiencing significant transformation. In response, GEMS Iberia has established a new team, RES Operations (RES OPS), dedicated to renewable energy to support our expanding activities. The RES OPS team collaborates closely with business units (Business Developers, Structurers, Traders, Support Functions) to address their data management and process automation needs.

Responsibilities of the RES OPS Team:

  • Ensure operational excellence in a real-time environment
  • Provide essential tools for effective portfolio contract management
  • Maintain the highest data quality standards in our central database for renewable asset management
  • Facilitate the generation of reports and data analysis

Your Role:

As a Renewable Portfolio Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in developing new systems by undertaking the following responsibilities:

  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of business processes to propose optimal solutions for emerging challenges
  • Design and implement new data flows essential for business operations
  • Enhance existing processes to ensure scalability
  • Collaborate with service providers to maintain current data flows
  • Implement data management best practices to uphold data quality and develop your own data quality tools
  • Work closely with the IT team to refine the systems used by GEMS Iberia for data management

Required Hard Skills:

  • Familiarity with Finance and/or Energy sectors
  • Proficiency in coding and scripting, particularly with Python
  • Strong data management capabilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate openly across functions
  • Experience with Dataiku or AWS is advantageous

Essential Soft Skills:

  • Strong focus on achieving business outcomes
  • Experience in close collaboration with IT departments
  • Commitment to excellence and high performance standards

Education and Professional Background:

  • A master's degree in engineering, business engineering, mathematics, or physics is preferred

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in English is required; Spanish is a plus
