M&A Specialist Job Description

At Edp Comercial, we are seeking a highly skilled M&A Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our corporate finance team, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic support for our organic investments and merger & acquisition (M&A) processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze Greenfield Projects from economic risk and strategic perspectives, ensuring that all investments are evaluated using objective and homogeneous criteria.
  • Perform valuations and create investment memorandums, providing summaries of analyses and other information to the Investment Analysis Manager and the Executive Committee of Edp Comercial.
  • Support the analysis and execution of M&A transactions in targeted countries and those in which Edp Comercial currently has a presence, ensuring seamless communication with our teams.
  • Support due diligence processes, ensuring that all necessary information is gathered and analyzed to inform our investment decisions.
  • Assist with strategic analysis projects, providing data-driven insights to inform our business growth strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in finance, preferably in the energy industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of the utility/energy industry and of valuation and accounting processes.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Statistical and analytical skills.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
