Inspector - Petroleum and Chemical Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspector to join our team at Core Lab. As an Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections and testing at petroleum, petrochemical, gas, grain, oils, and fats terminals and refineries, as well as on board barges and ships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist other inspectors and operations personnel in their duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure efficient work processes and meet client needs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • May be required to work at different locations and on offshore operations as needed.
  • Responsible for running operations at the lowest possible costs while meeting safety, quality, and maintenance requirements.
  • Collaborate with departmental teams and managers on all assignments.
  • Follow all company procedures, including HSE Manual, Accounting Policies & Procedures, Saybolt Administration Instruction Letter, IT procedures, Ethics Policy, Saybolt Compliance Code, etc.
  • Report directly to the Operations department.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (general education degree).
  • 1 year of experience as an Inspector or in a related field.
  • Good verbal and written knowledge of the local language and English.
  • Proficient user of MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with sampling and measurement procedures.
  • Ability to perform inspections on vessels and shore-based facilities with supervision.
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
Working Conditions
  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
