Job Summary

The Terminal Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing inspections and quality control checks at petroleum and chemical terminals. This role requires a strong understanding of industry standards and procedures, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of terminal facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Verify the accuracy of measurement and sampling equipment, and perform product measurements and sampling as required.
  • Work safely in the presence of hazardous materials, and take product measurements and samples in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform visual cleanliness inspections of tanks, including entering confined spaces, and maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient work processes and meet client needs accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve quality and efficiency, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and participate in training and professional development opportunities as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as chemistry, engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as terminal operations, quality control, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and procedures, including API, Fosfa, Gafta, and Saybolt.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Working Conditions

The Terminal Operations Specialist will work in a fast-paced terminal environment, with regular exposure to hazardous materials and equipment. The role requires the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a variety of weather conditions.
