The successful candidate will be part of the Epigenetics and Immune Disease group led by Dr. Esteban Ballestar, focusing on the research project 'Dissecting Epigenomic and Transcriptomic Traits in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia with Secondary Immunodeficiencies: Identification of SID-specific features, relationship with Ig replacement therapy and Infections' funded by Grifols.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Bioinformatics and Immunology, with expertise in single cell and bulk omics methods. They will be responsible for leading a research project, analyzing single cell and bulk omics datasets, and presenting scientific results, including writing manuscripts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a research project focusing on generating single cell and bulk omics datasets in patients with leukemia with immune dysregulation
- Analysis of single cell and bulk omics datasets
- Analysis of DNA methylation and ChIP-seq datasets
- Presentation of scientific results, including writing manuscripts
- PhD degree in a relevant area in Biology, Biochemistry, Medicine or related
- Advanced knowledge on Bioinformatics (single cell and bulk omics methods)
- Experience and/or clear interest in Immunology research
- Ability to handle varying workloads and aptitude for teamwork
- High level of collaborative and communicative skills
- Good level of English speaking and writing skills (required). Spanish (helpful)
