Facilities Manager

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. This role coordinates and supervises the activities of staff involved in installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of building systems.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the work of contractors and trades on projects.
- Supervise emergency and major repair jobs.
- Supervise staff and schedule activities for in-house staff and service vendors.
- Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs, or maintenance.
- Assist with training of new personnel.
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring a safe environment during projects. This includes:
- Overseeing contractor life safety and fire safety inspections.
- Conducting monthly fire drills.
- Performing random inspections of equipment to ensure quality and timely completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Performing daily inspections of elevator equipment and coordinating repairs.
- Performing annual life safety evaluations.
The Facilities Supervisor ensures that regulatory standards and codes are met by:
- Reviewing maintenance software daily to prioritize and assign work orders.
- Placing orders for service and parts.
- Documenting and distributing related work orders.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- One year of experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance in a supervisory capacity within the healthcare, hotel, and/or construction industry.
- General knowledge of hospital operations.
- Working knowledge of crafts trades.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to supervise and interact with personnel.
- General knowledge of building systems functions.
