Lead 3D Artist

Ubisoft Barcelona is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead 3D Artist to join our Rainbow Six development team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with the Studio Art Director to establish artistic goals for our projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Validate 3D assets to ensure they meet technical requirements and techniques.
- Suggest innovative solutions to meet project objectives.
- Support team members in their skill development and provide guidance on current tasks.
- Oversee the documentation of 3D processes and ensure it remains up-to-date.
- Manage the 3D initial order and backlog, identifying any inconsistencies or missing information.
- Assign and oversee the correction of team bugs.
- Provide progress reviews to the Associate Producer and contribute to the evaluation of 3D team members.
- Act as a liaison between Art Direction, Technical Direction, and the Strategy Team.
- Lead the 3D team, promoting a positive mentality, high quality, and technical focus.
- 2-4 years of experience in a Senior/Lead Artist role in the videogames industry.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to delegate work effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with team members from different departments.
- Proficiency in 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Designer.
- Knowledge of technical constraints related to real-time, 3D engines, and level editors.
- Ability to understand pipeline requirements for R6 Customization and suggest improvements.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Passion for videogames and extensive knowledge of different game genres across all platforms.
- Positive attitude and a genuine team player.
- Ability to take direction well and share knowledge with others.
