Lead 3D Artist Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead 3D Artist to join our Rainbow Six development team and contribute to future projects. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with the Studio Art Director to establish artistic goals and oversee the development of the game.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate 3D assets against technical requirements and suggest improvements when necessary.
  • Support team members in growing their skills and provide guidance on current tasks.
  • Own and maintain documentation on 3D processes and ensure it remains up-to-date.
  • Oversee the 3D initial order and backlog, identifying inconsistencies or missing information.
  • Assign and oversee the correction of team bugs.
  • Provide regular progress reviews to the Associate Producer.
  • Participate in performance follow-ups and contribute to team members' evaluations.
  • Liaise with R6 Art Direction, Technical Direction, and the Strategy Team.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in a Senior/Lead Artist role in the videogames industry.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to delegate work effectively.
  • Strong modelling, UV unwrapping, and texturing skills.
  • Good knowledge of 3Ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and Designer.
  • Understanding of technical constraints related to real-time and 3D engines.
  • Capacity to adapt to the R6 pipeline and suggest improvements.
