The Role: Business Development Executive - App Modernization

A Business Development Executive (BDE) is a solutioning expert against customer problems/business needs.

The BDE is responsible for accelerating time to value for our customers and supporting them in their cloud and digital transformation by aligning our solutions.

Good technical understanding and the ability to transform our customers' challenges into commercial solutions.

The BDE identifies, develops, and lands opportunities for defined portfolio elements in cooperation with Account Management.

The BDE's focus is new business with both new and existing customers.

For existing customers, the Sales cycle is started by the Account Management.

New customers must be hunted by the BDE, but BDE's always work in a team with the AM.

Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve sales goals for SoftwareONE Services by developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with named strategic clients and SoftwareOne Strategic services.
  2. Sell the SoftwareONE portfolio of Services, including but not limited to: Application Modernization, advisories, professional and managed services.
  3. Critical workloads modernization; advisories, professional and managed services.
  4. Build strategic relationships across the account, articulating a clear vision and generating enthusiasm, while impacting all business groups.
  5. Work at the most senior level within the account and help implement a broad strategy for earning customer acceptance and service implementation.
  6. Validate technical solutions developed internally that map to customer requirements.
  7. Work with sales leadership to develop and execute account strategies and identify opportunities to drive business expansion within the defined strategic services.
  8. Develop, execute, and own the sales and go-to-market strategy within a defined focus area.
  9. Collaborate with the Service Leader and Business Operations Leadership Team to execute Application Modernization services goals.
  10. Contribute to nurturing and developing prospects and customers that enable the business to capture market share.
  11. Lead negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making processes, and overcome objections to capture new business opportunities.
  12. Effectively communicate and articulate the SoftwareONE Value Proposition and all associated Service Offerings.
  13. Manage the sales lifecycle, including territory planning, deal reviews, gaining approvals, sales pipeline management and forecasting, deal closure planning.
  14. Assist with all marketing-related events, seminars, mailings, and call campaigns.
  15. Submit accurate and timely forecasts, on a weekly basis, that are aligned with assigned sales targets.
  16. Log all client activities, opportunities, and contacts in CRM and designated sales and call reports.
  17. Proactively invest in your personal training and development, keeping up to date with software & IT industry trends, maintaining vendor certifications and professional accreditations.
  18. Ensure SoftwareONE meets all customer contractual obligations and manage the escalation process if required.
  19. Ensure customers deliver on SoftwareONE contractual terms, including paying on time.
What We Need to See from You:

Deep consulting skills to analyze and document customer business requirements and pain points.

Ability to build broad networks within enterprise accounts across IT operations, project teams, architects, security, software managers, procurement, and commercial teams.

Strong account management skills, with the ability to maintain relationships and facilitate account reviews including executive level quarterly business reviews.

Travel may be required.
