Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer (Data Engineer 3 - Specialist) to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex problems and making improvements through data and technology. They will be able to apply Agile methodologies in day-to-day activities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommend appropriate alternatives.
  • Work on problems of diverse complexity and scope, and may act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities.
  • Exercise independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution.
  • Ability to handle most unique situations and make decisions on complex business issues.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software or data engineering.
  • Proficient in data modeling, data integration, and processing of structured and unstructured data.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python preferred).
  • Strong SQL proficiency (experience with NoSQL – an advantage).
  • Experienced with Apache Spark / pyspark.
  • Excellent communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design, and change proposals.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Databricks.
  • Pandas.
  • Familiarity with best practices of the data and software engineering lifecycle and/or best practices of the above platforms and tools.
  • Dataiku DSS.
