About the Role:
- Lead a project team of data engineers to design and develop complex, secure, and performant data systems and solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- Own operational excellence objectives, targeting reliability, quality, and release cadence, while perfecting operational economies of scale through extreme automation.
- Ensure compliance of data architecture, systems, and products with data policies, architecture, security, and quality guidelines and standards.
- Co-design and lead architecture evolution activities through innovation and adoption of new technologies.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related area.
- Hands-on expertise with data engineering systems, languages, and frameworks to explore, mine, transform, and cleanse data.
- Experience in designing, building, and operating cloud-native products and solutions, with experience in at least one major cloud vendor.
- Solid foundations on the concepts and principles of how data-intensive systems work under the hood.
- Experience with modern software lifecycle management tools, including version control, test plan pyramids, and quality test automation frameworks.
- Experience in delivering software with agile project management tools and practices.
- Excellent communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
