Job Summary
Lonza, a global leader in life sciences, is seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Specialist to join its dedicated Supplier Sustainability team. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in implementing the company's Responsible Sourcing Strategy and Global Sustainability strategy.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to support Lonza's sustainability priorities and goals.
- Onboarding suppliers to sustainability assessments and audits, including EcoVadis, TfS, and Integrity Next.
- Coaching and capability building of suppliers to enhance their sustainability practices.
- Implementing vendor due diligence and risk management processes to identify, address, and resolve potential ESG risks with Lonza's suppliers.
- Managing data for Supplier Sustainability, including data analysis, tracking of targets, Power BI reporting development and maintenance, and data maintenance for IT integration projects and supplier assessment platforms.
- Providing data required for auditors (external assurance, internal auditing) for the Supplier Sustainability initiative.
- Supporting ESG screening of prospect suppliers and ESG evaluations during supplier onboarding.
- Managing the Conflict Minerals Supply Chain Due Diligence program.
- Supporting sustainability projects, such as supplier life cycle management, traceability, and biodiversity.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive sustainability strategies and recommend process improvements.
- Monitoring and conducting research on emerging trends, global sustainability dynamics, and the regulatory environment, as well as potential solution providers for new topics.
- Developing and executing communication and training for procurement professionals and suppliers.
