Role Overview

As a Supplier Sustainability Specialist at Lonza, you will play a critical role in driving our global sustainability strategy and responsible sourcing initiatives. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, onboarding them to sustainability assessments and audits, and implementing vendor due diligence and risk management processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to support Lonza's sustainability priorities and goals
  • Onboarding suppliers to sustainability assessments and audits (EcoVadis, TfS, Integrity Next)
  • Coaching and capability building of suppliers
  • Implementing vendor due diligence and risk management processes to identify, address and resolve potential ESG risks with Lonza's suppliers
  • Owner of all data management and reporting activities within Supplier Sustainability, such as data analysis, tracking of targets, Power BI reporting development and maintenance
  • Data maintenance for IT integration projects and supplier assessment platforms (workflow, reporting, communication, etc.)

Additionally, you will be responsible for providing all data required to auditors (external assurance, internal auditing) for the Supplier Sustainability initiative, supporting ESG screening of prospect suppliers, and managing and supporting existing and upcoming sustainability projects.
