We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Specialist to join our dedicated Supplier Sustainability team at Lonza. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of our E2E Supplier Sustainability strategy, ensuring transparency and alignment on our global sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to support Lonza's sustainability priorities and goals.
- Onboard suppliers to sustainability assessments and audits, providing coaching and capability building to ensure their compliance.
- Implement vendor due diligence and risk management processes to identify, address, and resolve potential ESG risks with Lonza's suppliers.
- Manage and report on supplier data, including data analysis, tracking of targets, and Power BI reporting development and maintenance.
- Support ESG screening of prospect suppliers and ESG evaluations during supplier onboarding.
- Oversee the Conflict Minerals Supply Chain Due Diligence program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive sustainability strategies and recommend process improvements.
- Monitor and conduct research on emerging trends, global sustainability dynamics, and regulatory environments.
- Develop and execute communication and training for procurement professionals and suppliers.
- University degree in engineering, supply chain management, sustainability, CSR, or a business degree.
- 2+ years of experience in Sustainability/CSR programs within procurement or global sustainability functions.
- Proven working experience with SAP, EcoVadis, Integrity Next, Dun and Bradstreet, and Power BI.
- Excellent command of MS-Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral skills in English, with German a plus.
