As a Site Reliability Engineer at Oracle, you will play a critical role in designing, deploying, and troubleshooting key Oracle Cloud services and infrastructure. You will work closely with our development partners to ensure that our cloud solutions are secure, reliable, and scalable, meeting the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Ownership: You will be responsible for the end-to-end performance and operability of the services you own, working closely with development teams to ensure that services are designed and delivered to be mission-critical.
  • Service Design: You will partner with development teams to define and implement improvements in service architecture, both current and future, ensuring that services are scalable, secure, and reliable.
  • Operations Engineering: You will understand and communicate the scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes and requirements of the services you own, ensuring that services are optimized for performance and reliability.
  • Automation: You will have a clear understanding of automation and orchestration principles, and will be eager to automate wherever and whenever possible, eliminating technical debt and improving efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in server hardware configuration, Linux internals, networking, and scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools, monitoring and instrumentation, and DevOps toolchain.
  • Experience with cloud computing patterns, IT security and compliance, and running large-scale customer-facing web services.
  • Methodical approach to troubleshooting complex problems and ability to be a good teammate.
