About the Role

Fitch Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Analyst to join our European Structured Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing transactions backed by mortgage loans, consumer loans, and/or corporate loans, including leveraged loan CLOs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement default, recovery, and cash flow modeling to provide high-quality credit opinions to investors and other market participants.
  • Review transaction legal documents to ensure compliance with Fitch's rating criteria.
  • Conduct on-site reviews of underwriting and servicing of transaction originators and CLO managers.
  • Prepare rating proposals for presentation to internal rating committees.
  • Communicate rating rationale to investors and other market participants through presale reports, presentations, and meetings.
  • Collaborate with transaction arrangers and originators to understand asset characteristics and structural features of the transactions.
  • Assist in the development of criteria and supporting research.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in finance, with a strong understanding of securitisation structures and CLOs.
  • Advanced Excel skills and high numeracy.
  • Ability to review and analyze legal contracts from a credit risk perspective.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex analysis to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Desirable: knowledge of other European languages.
