This role is pivotal in reshaping how we approach route optimization, scheduling, and delivery execution.

We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst who will focus on enhancing in-station processes and the technological tools utilized by our operational teams.

The ideal candidate will possess the expertise to extract data from various sources, both real-time and batch, to create new performance metrics. You will be responsible for generating actionable insights through interactive dashboards, empowering our operations teams to make informed decisions and mitigate volume-related risks.

This position offers the chance to initiate projects from the ground up, establishing the foundational elements of a novel operational process complete with metrics, tools, and integration into AMZL platforms.

The role encourages innovative thinking, allowing you to collaborate with AMZL Planning, Transportation, Last Mile Technology, Operations, and business expansion teams to formulate a strategic plan for scaling Central Operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate informed decision-making by collecting and synthesizing data from diverse sources into a clear and actionable format.
  • Collaborate with fellow analysts and BI engineers in planning and analytics to develop analytical solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Design and implement business metrics for senior management assessments, and work alongside business intelligence and data engineers to create a robust data infrastructure that supports growth.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover the underlying causes of variances in key performance indicators over specified periods.
  • Utilize data to formulate business requirements documents and guide actionable technology initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
  • Proven professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python, Microsoft Excel, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively across various business functions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence reporting tools (e.g., Quicksight, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with Redshift and/or database management within AWS.
  • Previous experience in developing comprehensive Business Requirement Documentation.
