Technical Instructional Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Instructional Designer to join our team at Amazon. As a Technical Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge technology and content within the Learning department.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze Business Needs: Identify business relevant learning objectives and propose efficient and scalable solutions.
- Design Tailored Curricula: Consider UI, accessibility & DEI standards and trade-offs associated with selecting the best delivery methods.
- Develop World-Class Learning Products: Leverage authoring tools, API integration, and JavaScript to create responsive designs.
- Evaluate and Enhance Solutions: Continuously evaluate and enhance solutions, considering factors such as quality, business impact, scalability, and sustainability.
- Take a Data-Driven Approach: Understand successes and improvement opportunities for the designed solution while establishing methods for ensuring consistency and quality.
- Partner with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with technology, operations, and field teams worldwide.
We are a multidisciplinary team of instructional designers, media designers, and technical program managers driven to deliver exceptional learning products. We are collaborative, fun, and focused on doing great work while learning and growing.
Requirements- Expertise in Instructional Design: Experience designing solutions that require advanced technical features.
- Proven Track Record: Designing and developing learning products that positively impact specific operational success metrics.
- Proficiency with eLearning Authoring Tools: Experience with Storyline, Captivate, Lectora, and other eLearning authoring tools.
- Foundational Programming Skills: Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Understanding of Learning Management Systems: Knowledge of LMS features and eLearning protocols (xAPI, CMI5, SCORM).
- Project Planning and Execution: Experience with project planning and execution within the context of eLearning design and development.
- Data Analytics and Metrics: Ability to use data analytics and metrics to measure learning outcomes and improve instructional design strategies.
- Knowledge Sharing: Ability to identify effective ways of working and establish mechanisms to share knowledge with junior team members.
- Accessibility Standards: Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices to ensure inclusive learning experiences.
- Cross-Functional Team Environment: Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional team environment on multiple projects with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
