Scientist for X-ray Optics Characterization

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team at ALBA Synchrotron as an Instrument Scientist for the MINERVA beamline. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of experts to develop the capabilities of the MINERVA instrument, dedicated to the characterization of X-ray optics.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to users of the MINERVA instrument, particularly industry clients.
- Maintain the MINERVA instrument in optimal condition and ready for use.
- Carry out upgrade and commissioning activities to ensure the MINERVA instrument operates at the highest performance level.
- Support data analysis, interpretation, and generating meaningful reports for industry clients.
- Organize and participate in national and international outreach events to promote the use of synchrotron techniques by industry.
- Support ongoing research and development activities within the Optics and Metrology Group.
- Perform activities required to keep the MINERVA instrument operational after the ALBA II upgrade.
- Support technology transfer activities.

Requirements- University degree in a scientific field related to the project, including an Engineering degree.
- Strong background in X-ray optics and metrology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
