We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR). The successful candidate will provide technical support in planning and carrying out preventive activities to ensure the health and safety of workers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement prevention plans and programs to ensure compliance with regulations and objectives.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement to propose preventive measures.
- Support the development, update, and implementation of self-protection plans for VHIR and VHIO centres.
- Collaborate in the planning and realization of drills and training sessions.
- Report on risks detected and propose corrective measures.
- Advise on training and information plans for staff and establish evaluation systems and monitoring measures.
- Review investigations of work accidents and propose corrective measures to avoid repetition.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in sciences or biosciences.
- Higher education in Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP), occupational safety specialties, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics, and psycho-sociology.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position within biomedical research laboratories.
- Knowledge of ORP and environmental management systems.
- Opportunity to work in a scientific environment of excellence and contribute to the development of biomedical research and innovation.
