Job Summary:

Arrow Electronics is seeking a skilled Market Development Engineer IP&E to drive market growth and sales expansion within the IP&E business segment. The successful candidate will develop and implement comprehensive solution programs to accelerate market, sales, and profit growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specialize in key market segments and technologies of the business, as assigned within the dedicated Vertical.
  • Own the go-to-market strategy plan for the assigned market/business segment.
  • Conduct business strategy activities to include total available market, market share, segmentation, competitive analysis, emerging trends, SWOT, and product positioning.
  • Collaborate with the BU on product road mapping, new product development, and product management activities to support the assigned market.
  • Work with supplier, product management, and other product and engineering resources to clarify product and service needs, requirements, and priorities.
  • Create, gain approvals for, and execute (upon approval) comprehensive products and service offers.
  • Contribute to the development of communication programs and materials for use in business development.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and manage supplier and channel programs within the assigned market.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns, tools, and training programs aimed to drive increased market share and visibility for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead market or segment-based Voice of Customer activities to capture product reception and validate new marketing opportunities.
  • Build and manage influential relationships with key suppliers.
  • Make "joint" calls with ARROW and supplier's Sales personnel where it is strategically and tactically appropriate on a regular basis.
  • Be involved with supplier web training for new products, new product releases, and supplier promotions, and identify market/customer penetration strategies with the appropriate products.

Requirements:

  • Experience in electronics industry or manufacturing in similar positions in Sales, Engineering, Marketing or Product management - must have.
  • Experience in IP&E - must have.
  • Experience in engineering and business strategy - market & customer segmentation; competitive product benchmarking, financial analysis (ROI, pricing, scenario analysis) - must have.
  • Strong sales skills.
  • Full driving license and readiness for business travel - must have.
  • English language skills - fluently in writing and spoken.
  • Spanish language skills (native or C1).
  • Expertise in engaging to executive-level stakeholders.
  • Track record in delivering results in market/segment management or development of comprehensive solutions offers in business-to-business industry.
  • Understanding of performance measurement tools and technology.
  • Demonstration of project/team leadership and collaboration skills.
