We are seeking a highly skilled Citrix and Microsoft expert to join our IT operation team at Robert Walters. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Citrix and Microsoft terminal server environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain Citrix and Microsoft Terminal server environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Support in design, implement terminal server solutions.
- Daily tasks are maintaining and configuring the platform to meet business requirements.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of Citrix related issues (including applications), including performance optimization, resource optimization and connectivity issues, also considering the agreed SLAs.
- Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for Citrix environment management and software deployment processes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to plan and execute Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Lead and execute software deployment tasks, including packaging, testing, and rollout of applications using tools such as Microsoft SCCM, Ivanti DSM, or similar.
- Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to gather requirements, assess compatibility, and ensure successful deployment of applications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with troubleshooting complex issues and implementing solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in Citrix virtualization, software deployment, and related areas.
- Participate in change management processes, including reviewing proposed changes, assessing impacts, and implementing controls to mitigate risks.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing Citrix and terminal server environments, including Citrix Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory including Entra ID, Group Policy.
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and task orchestration.
- Experience with software deployment tools and technologies, such as Microsoft SCCM, MSI packaging, or virtualization platforms.
- Good English skills are a must.
