Senior Royalties Accountant

At Hasbro, we're committed to entertaining and connecting generations of fans through storytelling and play. We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant, Royalties to join our team. This role will report to the Manager of Accounting, Royalties and be responsible for royalty revenue accounting and reporting at our global play and entertainment company.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage royalty revenue accounting program under ASC 606, ensuring accurate calculation and account classifications.
- Oversee the process of tracking licensee guarantee and overage payments, managing past due reporting, and communicating with licensees.
- Provide leadership and development to maintain a motivated and effective staff.
- Partner with business operations and finance business partners to ensure royalty accounting is aligned to business and operational needs.
- Implement continuous improvement and modernization efforts across royalty system and business process to ensure an efficient system and business processes.
- Partner with internal and external auditors to assist in their completion of audits.
- Build relationships and regular communication with operational leaders to provide direct and timely assistance on matters that have accounting and reporting implications.
- Complete ad hoc projects.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, with a Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
- Minimum 3 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience, with Big 4 experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ASC 606 preferred.
- Experience in reviewing and understanding contracts, with knowledge of licensing industry and royalty accounting preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and contribute efficiently and optimally in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
