Job Title: Process Technology Specialist - Probiotics

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Technology Specialist to join our team in Valencia, Spain. As a key member of our probiotics development team, you will be responsible for optimizing our fermentation processes and developing new probiotic products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project engineers, technology engineers, and RD teams to optimize the performance of our probiotics production facility.
  • Lead the tech transfer of new strains from RD and external partners.
  • Assist in evaluating potential JV and MA opportunities in the probiotics space.
  • Serve as a technical partner for the site, including production and maintenance employees, plant operations, and leadership teams.
  • Explore and propose new process technologies and equipment suppliers to support operational improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Dedication to working safely and awareness for the safety of others.
  • Expert understanding of probiotics fermentation processes.
  • Experience with optimization/analytical processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with plant engineers, operators, RD, and upper management.
  • Working knowledge of common process drawings and documentation, such as PIDs and control narratives.
  • Willingness to spend time in plant areas on a regular basis.
  • The ability to communicate in Spanish and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of Engineering.
  • Candidates with a degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Processing, Production Manufacturing, Technology, or other related fields will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with probiotics development/process optimization, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
