Located in the heart of Canada's capital, Fairmont Chateau Laurier is seeking a Banquet Server A (Part-Time) to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional service to guests and be part of a dynamic team.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Banquet Leadership Team, the Banquet Server A (Part-Time) will be responsible for:
• Consistently offering professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests
• Assisting guests with menu items in an informative and helpful way
• Serving all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings
• Having full knowledge of beverage lists and menu items being served
• Setting tables according to event order, clients' specifications, and Fairmont Standards
• Following outlet policies, procedures, and service standards
• Ensuring all safety and sanitation policies are followed when handling food and beverage


Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the culinary field is required
• Previous service experience and point of sale system experience are assets
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
• Highly responsible and reliable individual
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Smart Serve Certification is required
• Bartending experience and bilingualism are assets


Physical Aspects of the Position:

• Constant standing and walking throughout the shift
• Must be able to lift heavy trays (8 plates)
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
• Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps


Hours of Work:

Part-time employees on list "A" must choose up to and including thirty (30) but not exceeding thirty-two (32) regular hours in any work week.
