Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team at Accor Hotels. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring that every event is a success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service to guests.
  • Assist guests with menu items in an informative and helpful way.
  • Serve all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings.
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and menu items being served.
  • Set tables according to event order, clients' specifications, and Fairmont Standards.
  • Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the culinary field is required.
  • Previous service experience is an asset.
  • Previous point of sale system experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Smart Serve Certification is required.
  • Bartending experience is an asset.
  • Bilingual is an asset.

Additional Information:

Physical Aspects of Position:

  • Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
  • Must be able to lift heavy trays (8 plates).

Hours of Work:

Part-time employees on list "A" must choose up to and including thirty (30) but not exceeding thirty-two (32) regular hours in any work week.
