Head of Ethics and Compliance

Cepsa is undergoing a transformative strategy called "Positive Motion", focusing on making our revenue streams more sustainable. As part of this mission, the Head of Ethics and Compliance role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the compliance strategy, aligning it with the organization's mission, vision, and risks.
  • Compliance Oversight: Implement and maintain the compliance program, ensuring comprehensive management and the ability to defend our practices against regulators and external auditors.
  • Risk Management: Identify ethics and compliance risks for the CEPSA Group, ensuring the corporate risk management matrix is up-to-date.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures to address key risks across the organization.
  • Integrity Channel and Incident Management: Supervise the management of the ethics channel and report to the relevant committees.
  • Ethics and Compliance Awareness: Promote an ethical tone from senior management and design awareness campaigns on ethics and compliance.
  • Compliance in Joint Ventures: Supervise compliance functions in Joint Ventures, ensuring alignment with CEPSA's compliance standards.
  • Reporting: Define and manage high-impact periodic reports for the Executive Committee and other stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establish, maintain, and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 15 years of professional experience, with over 10 years leading compliance units, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Normative Identification: Ability to identify and understand applicable regulations for various compliance programs.
  • Risk and Internal Control Knowledge: Broad knowledge of risk identification and evaluation methodologies and internal control systems.
  • Communication and Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic Vision and Leadership: Experience in establishing a global vision and strategy, with strong leadership skills.
