Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant Payable Specialist to join our Finance department in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable Ledger, providing assistance with payment runs and payables management, and reconciling bank statements.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Payable Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Provide assistance with payment runs, including processing and reconciling payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
- Post and reconcile school finance reports on a weekly basis.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts at the end of each month.
- Provide ad-hoc support to senior members of the team as required.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- AP experience required.
- Intermediate Excel knowledge, including V Lookups, pivot tables, and data formatting.
- Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service ethos and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Systematic and organized approach, with a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Reliable and flexible, with a strong ability to process high volumes of work to deadlines.
- English and Spanish language proficiency at C1/C2 level.
