Are you a data analytics specialist looking to take your career to the next level? Do you have experience with Data Lake/Hadoop and a passion for solving complex data challenges? We're seeking a highly technical data architect to collaborate with our customers and partners on key engagements.

As a data architect at Amazon Web Services, you'll have the opportunity to develop, deliver, and implement data analytics projects that help our customers leverage their data to drive business insights. You'll work on-site with customers and partners, leading teams through high-impact projects that utilize the latest data analytic technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery: Help customers define and implement data architectures, including Data Lake, Lake House, and Data Mesh.
  • Solutions: Deliver on-site technical assessments with partners and customers, creating packaged Data & Analytics service offerings.
  • Innovate: Engage with customers' business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise.
  • Expertise: Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services.
  • Leadership: Lead data architecture and data engineering teams to deliver project implementations successfully.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design, and architecture experience.
  • 5+ years of database experience, including SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Kinesis.
  • 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
  • 5+ years of software development with object-oriented language experience.
  • 3+ years of cloud-based solution experience, including AWS or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or 7+ years of professional or military experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with Teradata systems.
