Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team. As a Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that meet the needs of our customers.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing role that requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our customers to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data architectures that meet the needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with our customers to understand their data needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
  • Develop and deliver technical assessments with partners and customers
  • Lead data architecture and data engineering teams to deliver project implementations successfully
Requirements
  • 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience
  • 5+ years of database experience (e.g. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis)
  • 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience
  • 5+ years of software development with object-oriented language experience
  • 3+ years of cloud-based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
  • 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex and large-scale project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with Teradata systems
