About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Privacy Director to join our team at Clarivate. As a key member of our privacy leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our global privacy compliance program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of our global privacy compliance program, ensuring alignment with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical advice on data protection standards and regulations to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements that ensure risk mitigation activities are effective.
  • Manage and direct the management of Data Subject Access Requests for GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Support incident response for privacy breaches and assist with preparing for or leading privacy-related regulatory examinations, ISO audits, and internal audits.
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation action plans to ensure privacy practices align with regulatory and compliance standards.
  • Champion privacy awareness across the firm by leading Privacy Awareness campaigns, training, and educational programs.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional with a strong background in data protection and privacy compliance. You will have a minimum of 10 years of progressive privacy experience and a comprehensive knowledge of UK, EU, Swiss, and APAC data protection regulations and their application.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive privacy experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK, EU, Swiss, and APAC data protection regulations and their application.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfortable making logical decisions when faced with ambiguous requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Undergraduate college degree, or the equivalent, in business, law, finance, technology, or other relevant subject area.
  • Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe Accreditation (CIPP/E).
