About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Global Privacy Director to join our team at Clarivate Analytics. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in the success of our privacy program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Privacy Engineering tier of the enterprise Privacy program
  • Act as the Data Protection Officer delegate
  • Provide compliance technical advice and consulting as a subject matter expert in data protection standards
  • Strategically develop, enforce, and lead the global privacy compliance program
  • Ensure effective execution of privacy requirements, maintenance, and adherence to related policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to drive the execution of the global privacy compliance program
  • Assist business and corporate functions with the design and execution of internal controls to address privacy business requirements and mitigate privacy risks
  • Leverage expertise to embed enhancements to enterprise Privacy By Design and Regulatory AI BY Design frameworks into applicable business processes
  • Independently manage privacy risk assessments
  • Direct the management of Data Subject Access Requests for GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations
  • Support incident response for privacy breaches in coordination with internal partners
  • Assist with preparing for or leading privacy-related regulatory examinations, ISO audits, and internal audits
  • Ensure that controllers and data subjects are informed about their data protection rights, obligations, and responsibilities
  • Give advice and recommendations to the organization about the interpretation or application of the data protection rules
  • Create a register of processing operations within the organization
  • Handle queries or complaints on request by the organization, the controller, or other person(s)
  • Cooperate with and act as the contact point for the data protection authorities

About the Team

This role will report to the VP/Chief Privacy Officer, working as part of a team of 5 Privacy professionals who are based globally.
