Moffatt & Nichol is a leading global infrastructure advisor specializing in the planning and design of facilities that shape and serve our coastlines, harbors, and rivers. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team and support our HR functions on a day-to-day basis.

The Human Resources Generalist will handle a wide range of HR tasks, including employment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, recognition, and compensation administration. This role will interact with staff at all levels and provide technical guidance and direction to colleagues and our leadership team.

As a Human Resources Generalist at Moffatt & Nichol, you will be responsible for establishing a culture to support employees through their lifecycle from onboarding through to development. You will ensure compliance with country labor laws and company policies, address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and ensure a positive work environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing a culture to support employees through their lifecycle from onboarding through to development
  • Ensuring compliance with country labor laws and company policies
  • Addressing employee concerns, conducting investigations, and ensuring a positive work environment
  • Partnering with various HR functions to assist employees in various concerns that may come up through the employee life cycle
  • Supporting employee development with local providers, ensuring health and safety compliance, personal development, and leadership development
  • Assisting in the implementation of corporate policy at the business unit or division level
  • Facilitating organization and leadership development efforts, working with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues
  • Resolving employee relations issues through a systematic approach
  • Assisting senior management in the development of solutions through cultural and process perspective organizational development
  • Developing and driving company-wide programs and initiatives
  • Leading special projects in the realm of human resources management

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5-10 years of experience in a human resources department, thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
