About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team at The Workshop. As an HR Manager, you will play a key role in establishing a new HR function within our organization, supporting all entities and employees through the employee transfer process in both the UK and Spain.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish HR operations across Spain and the UK.
  • Support the transition of employees as part of the organization implementation setup.
  • Hire, manage, and develop a team of people professionals across Spain and the UK.
  • Maintain day-to-day operational efficiency with people-related activities and processes.
  • Develop and enhance HR practices and processes that align with our goals across all locations.
  • Set up policies and procedures to foster a positive culture and engagement.
  • Implement and maintain an effective annual performance review process.
  • Contribute to the identification, development, and retention of key talent across teams.
  • Review and address learning and development needs through our organization.
  • Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and other HR-related functions.
  • Stay updated with relevant legislation in Spain and the UK.
  • Track and maintain budgets related to people-related tooling, company benefits, and training.

Requirements

  • Proven HR experience in a multilingual environment, preferably in the IT industry.
  • Demonstrated success as a manager in supporting the growth and development of direct reports.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent.
  • Expertise in current Spanish and UK employment laws and HR-related legislation.
  • Expertise in the administration of Spanish and UK benefits, with the ability to stay updated on benchmark trends.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent work ethic and a strong team player with a mentoring approach to development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment.
  • High degree of adaptability and flexibility to change.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Flexibility with work schedules and assignments.
  • Complete fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented.
