Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Service Project Manager to join our team at Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. as a Service Engineer for Battery Energy Storage Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service work, troubleshooting, maintenance, and planned maintenance on-site, as well as power electronic maintenance.
- Provide technical assistance both remotely and on-site.
- Execute service work on Batteries Energy Storage Systems according to work instructions and in accordance with Hitachi Energy standard processes.
- Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance at site or from remote.
- Identify technical problems and analyze them through remote or on-site activities in different areas (service, installation and commissioning, retrofits, technical assistance).
- Utilize the HE remote connection tools to collect data from the installed fleet and provide meaningful data analytics.
- Work in close cooperation with the R&D and engineering team to identify digital solutions and support the expansion of the service scope on the Hitachi Energy BESS installed base.
- Collaborate with the service engineering team to finalize spare parts list and time schedules for the planned maintenance.
- Act as the resolution owner of the cases opened by the customers.
- Keep the assigned fleet database always up to date in terms of system configuration.
- Apply safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Report unsafe practices and incidents.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering or Technical Diploma.
- Experience of at least 3 years as Service Engineer.
- Experience in automation and control is nice to have.
- Good Knowledge of English and Spanish.
- Ability to work in a team and problem-solving skills.
