We are a global leader in the chemical industry, renowned for developing innovative solutions across various sectors. Our rapidly growing Digital Hub in Madrid is at the forefront of digitalization, and we're seeking an AI Data Scientist to join our AI Solutions team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and support their data-driven use cases, driving informed decision-making and business growth.
  • Deliver AI solutions that enable data-driven insights, working closely with data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, and architects.
  • Identify business needs and translate them into software specifications, ensuring seamless execution and effective communication of results.
  • Plan solution implementations, selecting the right technologies and adapting the architecture as client needs evolve, ensuring scalability, reproducibility, and transparency.
  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders in leveraging AI and Data Science, staying current with advancements in AI, Data Science, and related technologies.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Analytics & AI Community at the company, sharing knowledge and insights.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer or data science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of non-academic work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer or data science, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline, with 5+ years of non-academic work experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and R, with practical hands-on experience.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially Microsoft Azure or similar platforms.
  • Strong skills in transforming, optimizing, analyzing, and modeling real-world datasets using relevant libraries (e.g., Pandas, Numpy).
  • Proven track record of implementing machine learning and AI solutions using frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
  • Understanding of AI solution components, including MLOps, serving infrastructure, performance monitoring, and cost control in a cloud environment.
  • Excellent business and technical consulting skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Proficiency in data visualization and the ability to explain quantitative topics to non-technical colleagues through storytelling.
