Senior Cost & Value Engineering Expert

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the competitiveness and profitability of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy products and solutions through the application of Cost and Value Engineering levers and methods.
  • Support the setting of competitive and achievable targets based on customer requirements, competitors' products, and solutions, as well as our own and our suppliers' capabilities.
  • Define and optimize product architecture and component specifications to ensure an adequate product and solution design.
  • Prepare and develop guidance and cost models to support stakeholders in the decision-making process.
  • Foster a cross-functional mindset change towards cost and value awareness and contribute to the development of the value and cost optimization strategy.
  • Support the standardization and modularization of the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy product portfolio.
  • Drive technology-specific value and cost optimization programs and focus on product cost optimization.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar technical course.
  • Several years of professional experience in Procurement Engineering, Cost Value Engineering, Product development, or other relevant functions, ideally in the field of Switch Gear, Power Cabinets, Control Cabinets, or Converter.
  • Experience in Technology/Procurement and Cost Value Engineering.
  • Fluent in English, with Spanish or German desirable.
  • Willingness to travel annually 25% of the available time.
