About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Web Publishing Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for evaluating and implementing web publishing systems, ensuring the availability and security of our services and applications.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate and implement web publishing systems, ensuring scalability and performance.
  2. Develop and maintain fault-tolerant mechanisms to ensure high availability of our services and applications.
  3. Monitor infrastructure and develop predictive alert systems to prevent incidents.
  4. Participate in post-mortem analyses and communicate system availability statistics.
  5. Transform legacy components and align them with current best practices.
  6. Be available to participate in on-call rotations.
  7. Automate and remove manual interventions in all processes.

Requirements

  1. Experience working with web publishing systems and proxying (Nginx).
  2. Solid knowledge in Linux, system monitoring, tuning, and configuration management.
  3. Ability to automate using scripts (mainly Python/Go).
  4. Ability to troubleshoot problems using high- and low-level debugging tools and techniques throughout our stack.
  5. Knowledge in deployment/configuration tooling: Ansible/HELM.
  6. Experience with version control tools (Git).
  7. Experience working with pipelines.

Desirable Skills

  1. Akamai security and publishing services.
  2. ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  3. Azure DevOps services (Pipelines, Repos, Boards).
  4. Infrastructure-as-a-Code using Terraform.
  5. Cloud Provider services, S3, VM, networking (Azure preferred).
