Job Description

**Job Title:** Web Publishing Systems Engineer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Web Publishing Systems Engineer to join our team at Devoteam Spain. The ideal candidate will have expertise in web publishing systems and proxying (Nginx) and will be responsible for ensuring the availability and scalability of our web applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **System Evaluation:** Evaluate web development projects to identify potential risks and ensure that changes do not add unnecessary complexity to the code.
  • **Fault Tolerance:** Develop mechanisms to ensure the availability of banking services and applications.
  • **Infrastructure Monitoring:** Monitor the infrastructure and develop predictive alert systems to prevent incidents.
  • **Post-Mortem Analysis:** Participate in post-mortem analyses and communicate statistics on system availability.
  • **Legacy System Transformation:** Transform legacy components and align them with current best practices.
  • **Availability:** Be available for regular calls.
  • **Automation:** Automate all manual interventions in processes.
Requirements:
  • **Experience:** Experience working with web publishing systems and proxying (Nginx).
  • **Linux and System Monitoring:** Strong knowledge of Linux, system monitoring, configuration adjustment, and management.
  • **Scripting:** Ability to automate using scripts (mainly Python/Go).
  • **Problem Diagnosis:** Ability to diagnose problems using high- and low-level debugging tools across our entire stack.
  • **Deployment Configuration:** Knowledge of deployment configuration tools: Ansible / HELM.
  • **Version Control:** Experience with version control tools (Git).
  • **Pipeline Experience:** Experience working with pipelines.
Desirable Skills:
  • **Akamai Security and Publishing Services.
  • **ELK, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • **Azure DevOps Services (Pipelines, Repos, Boards).
  • **Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • **Cloud Provider Services, S3, VM, Network (Azure preferred).
