About the Role

As a Finance Analyst - Digital Transformation at Novartis, you will play a key role in the successful execution of finance-related projects and ensuring the accuracy of financial planning and reporting. You will assist in leveraging business intelligence tools and streamlining finance processes. This role emphasizes finance over digital, requiring a foundational understanding of digital tools as applied to finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of business intelligence solutions to support financial planning and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with finance managers across functions to gather requirements and support the implementation of finance projects.
  • Provide support in organizing and maintaining financial data integrity and consistency across all business units.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Participate in the deployment and adoption of new financial digital tools and ensure proper training for end-users.
  • Support senior analysts and managers in project planning, coordination, and execution, particularly through the AGILE methodology in JIRA software.
  • Assist in the automation of finance processes to improve organizational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements
  • University Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. Master's Degree/MBA is a plus.
  • Approx. 5 years' experience relevant for the role in a multinational company with exposure at global/corporate and ideally also at country or region level.
  • Basic understanding and experience with business intelligence and analytics tools, particularly Qlik Sense and Power BI.
  • Experience with databases, like MS-SQL or MS-Access is preferrable.
  • Familiarity with AGILE project management methodology is preferrable.
  • Overall business/finance acumen; pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus, but not a pre-requisite.
  • Technical proficiency in these areas: SAP understanding, particularly CO and COPA modules, Planning & performance management and analytics tools (Qlik Sense or Power BI), JIRA software for project management.
  • Very strong communication skills in English. Spanish language preferrable.
