Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the flow of cargo from origin to destination, verifying the technical suitability of transportation methods, and implementing action plans. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the transport and freight forwarding industry, excellent organizational skills, and leadership qualities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate cargo flow: Ensure seamless transportation of cargo from origin to destination.
  2. Verify transportation methods: Evaluate the technical suitability of proposed transportation methods.
  3. Implement action plans: Review, study, and implement action plans to ensure efficient transportation.
  4. Provide expert knowledge: Offer relevant expertise across solutions and logistics industry.
  5. Attend project meetings: Participate in project progress meetings to discuss shipping operations and logistical planning.
  6. Manage staff and subcontractors: Oversee and audit staff, subcontractors, and their interface.
  7. Liaise with customers: Act as a direct liaison for customers and report on cargo movements.
  8. Prepare commercial and technical offers: Manage and prepare offers for internal and external customers.
  9. Ensure shipping plans: Obtain project-approved shipping plans for transportation and freight expenditure.
  10. Develop working procedures: Jointly develop and agree on project-specific working procedures.
  11. Manage project job files: Control and audit all project job files.
  12. Introduce new customers: Introduce new customers and business opportunities to AsstrA.
  13. Negotiate with service providers: Engage in price and rate negotiations with service providers, subcontractors, and carriers.

Requirements:

  1. Deep knowledge of transport and freight forwarding industry: Proven expertise in the transport and freight forwarding industry.
  2. Experience in project management: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management in the logistics industry and project cargo transportation.
  3. Higher education: Higher education in economy, marketing, finance, management, logistics, or transport.
  4. Language skills: Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish.
  5. Organizational skills: Proven organizational skills and leadership qualities.
  6. Problem-solving skills: Exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  7. Strategic thinking: Strategic thinking, proactivity, and responsibility.
  8. Team-working skills: Good team-working competencies.
