About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator to join our team at Associated Traffic. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of cargo from origin to destination, ensuring seamless execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cargo Coordination: Coordinate the movement of cargo, verifying and evaluating the technical suitability of proposed transportation methods.
  2. Project Planning: Review, study, and implement action plans to ensure efficient project execution.
  3. Logistics Expertise: Provide expert knowledge on logistics solutions and industry best practices.
  4. Communication: Attend and chair project progress meetings, ensuring effective communication with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  5. Staff Management: Manage and oversee staff, subcontractors, and their interfaces, ensuring smooth project execution.
  6. Cargo Management: Act as a direct liaison for cargo movements, reporting to clients and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  7. Commercial and Technical Offers: Prepare and manage commercial and technical offers for clients, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  8. Shipping Plan Management: Ensure project-approved shipping plans are obtained for all transportation and freight expenditure.
  9. Procedure Development: Jointly develop and agree project-specific working procedures with clients and stakeholders.
  10. Job File Management: Manage, control, and audit all project job files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  11. New Business Development: Identify and introduce new business opportunities to Associated Traffic, where possible.
  12. Negotiations: Engage in price and rate negotiations with service providers, subcontractors, and carriers as required.
Requirements
  1. Industry Knowledge: Deep knowledge of the transport and freight forwarding industry.
  2. Project Management Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management in the logistics industry and project cargo transportation.
  3. Education: Higher education in a relevant field, such as economy, marketing, finance, management, logistics, or transport.
  4. Language Skills: Excellent knowledge of English and Spanish.
  5. Soft Skills: Proven organizational skills, leadership qualities, exceptional problem-solving and negotiation skills, strategic thinking, proactivity, and responsibility.
  6. Teamwork: Good team-working competences.
